Jemma started working at Trevornick a long time ago, first as waitress but has had varied roles within the company before settling into accounting and becoming Head of Finance. Outside of work she loves baking and keeping fit (to work off all the cake she eats!) and enjoys getting out in the Cornish air with her little girl.
What’s your daily role at Trevornick?
I look after the financial side of Trevornick so will be doing anything from banking to invoices.
What’s it like working at Trevornick?
No two days are the same! We are one big team and so help is always there if needed. Summer days are very busy for us but so worthwhile when there are happy families onsite
Why did you decide to become part of the Trevornick family?
I had my work experience placement here many moons ago and never got the chance to leave!!
Favourite thing to do at Trevornick?
I love to watch the sunset at Woody’s, it’s a beautiful sight.
Favourite thing to do in Holywell and the surroundings?
Outside of work we like to visit the Pitch & Putt course. I can’t say I’m very good but it’s a lovely walk with a stunning backdrop
Favourite place in Cornwall?
My favourite place in Cornwall has got to be Cardinham woods, near Bodmin. It’s a great place for all, rain or shine. Pack a picnic or visit the amazing café and set off on one of the many walks around the woods
If you have kids, what’s their favourite thing to do here?
My Daughter is only 1 so doesn’t enjoy Trevornick to its full potential yet – but we love to visit the beach and walk our pooch.
Top local tip for visitors?
Embrace Cornwall whatever the weather! It doesn’t have to be glorious sunshine to have a great time.
Any other secret gems to share?
I would recommend doing your homework on coastal path walks in Cornwall, there are so many wonderful places you could visit and a brilliant free day out.
