Fishing holidays in Cornwall
Enjoy peace, quiet and great fishing holidays in Cornwall at one of Trevornick’s two well stocked, coarse fishing ponds. If you don’t have your own fishing tackle, that’s no problem, you can hire everything you need from ‘The Bait shack’ which can be found just next to the ponds.
All guests are welcome to fish in our ponds whether beginners or seasoned professionals and try to hook a monster Common Carp or Mirror Carp. And if you’re really keen on angling, why not book a camping or caravan pitch in Pond field which is located alongside our coarse fishing ponds?
Trevornick has a great reputation as one of the top destinations for fishing holidays in Cornwall with regular competitions and BBQs for guests to take part in.
Fishing Rules
For keen anglers, fishing holidays in Cornwall take some beating, combining great fishing opportunities with an unbeatable location.
We do, however, have rules in place that are designed to protect the fish and wildlife around the ponds and to minimise disturbance to guests at our holiday park. Anybody who does not adhere to the following rules may be asked to leave the ponds.
- Weekly and daily passes are available to purchase from the Bait Shack. Anyone using a pass must show this prior to using the ponds.
- Fishing is only permitted between dawn and dusk.
- Barbless hooks to be used only. Maximum size 8.
- No boilies, bread, dog biscuits, cat or dog food or floating baits permitted in the ponds.
- Landing nets must be used. These are available to buy or hire from the Bait Shack.
- Do not throw excess bait into the ponds.
- Clear and tidy away your swim after fishing in the bins provided.
- No fishing permitted on the track leading to the barns.
- All ledgers and feeders must be free running – no fixed rigs allowed.
- Unhooking mats must be used.
- Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
- Night Fishing is not permitted.

Our Ponds
Our beautiful fishing ponds are run by the lovely Geoff and Judy who have been a part of Trevornick for many years and are always on hand to help, giving expert advice and guidance.
Our two ponds feature: Carp (up to around 20lbs), Trench, Specimen Perch (up to around 4lbs), Roach, Bream and Rudd.
Our Bait
The Bait Shack offers a wide range of Bait including: Bait Tech, Mainline, Fjuka and even stock maggots.
Our Competitions
For the 2024 season our Adult competitions run on Mondays (except Bank Holidays) throughout the season, 9:30am Draw and fish from 10:00am – 2:00pm. £4.00pp
Our Children’s competitions run in the school holidays on Sundays, 10:30am draw and fish 11:00am – 1:00pm. £5.00pp
