Fishing holidays in Cornwall
Enjoy peace, quiet and great fishing holidays in Cornwall at Trevornick’s two well-stocked coarse fishing ponds. If you don’t have your own fishing tackle, that’s no problem. You can hire everything you need from The Bait Shack, located next to the ponds.
All guests are welcome to fish in our ponds, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned angler hoping to hook a Common Carp or Mirror Carp. If fishing is a big part of your holiday, you can also book a camping or touring pitch in Pond Field, located alongside our coarse fishing ponds.
Trevornick is a great choice for fishing holidays in Cornwall, with two well-stocked ponds and regular fishing competitions for guests to take part in.
Fishing Rules
Fishing at Trevornick offers a peaceful way to enjoy your holiday in Cornwall, with two well-stocked ponds available for guests to use.
We do, however, have rules in place to protect the fish and wildlife around the ponds and to minimise disturbance to guests at our holiday park. Anyone who does not adhere to the following rules may be asked to leave the ponds.
- Weekly and daily passes are available to purchase from the Bait Shack. Anyone using a pass must show this prior to using the ponds.
- Fishing is only permitted between the advertised times (please see board)
- Barbless hooks to be used only. Maximum size 8.
- No boilies, bread, dog biscuits, cat or dog food or floating baits permitted in the ponds.
- Landing nets must be used. These are available to buy or hire from the Bait Shack.
- Do not throw excess bait into the ponds.
- Clear and tidy away your swim after fishing in the bins provided.
- All ledgers and feeders must be free running – no fixed rigs allowed.
- Unhooking mats must be used on Pond 2.
- Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult on Pond 2.
- Night Fishing is not permitted.

Our Fishing Ponds
Our two well-stocked coarse fishing ponds are looked after by Geoff and Judy, who have been part of Trevornick for many years and are always on hand to offer advice and guidance to guests.
The ponds are stocked with carp up to around 20lb, specimen perch up to around 4lb, tench, roach, bream and rudd.
Our Tackle Shop
Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just getting started, our coarse fishing tackle shop has everything you need for a day on the bank. We stock a carefully selected range of rods, reels, terminal tackle, bait and accessories from trusted brands, suitable for a range of fishing styles including float, feeder, specimen and match fishing.
The Bait Shack stocks a wide range of bait, including Bait-Tech, Mainline and Fjuka products, as well as maggots.
Our Competitions
Our adult fishing competitions usually run on Mondays throughout the season, except Bank Holidays. The draw takes place at 9:30am, with fishing from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Entry is approximately £5 per person.
Children’s fishing competitions usually run on Sundays during the school holidays. The draw takes place at 10:30am, with fishing from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Entry is approximately £4 per person.
