It’s all about the little things when it comes to romance so our first Cornish date idea is simple. A cliff-top picnic with a sunset backdrop. Can’t get any more picture perfect than that, can it? If you’re not a fan of outdoor dates (or have a fear of heights!) but still want to impress your date with romance, we suggest a dinner date at ‘The Dining Room’ in the village Rock. This family-run restaurant has made a name for itself in the Cornwall culinary world for its exceptional food but also for its relaxed dining experience. Once you’ve arrived at your table take your time eating and chatting, with only one sitting each night, that’s your table for the evening.
Our last traditional date idea is a simple yet romantic, beach walk. Here in Cornwall, you are not short for choice when it comes to beaches, try and choose one with a lovely restaurant or bar nearby to finish off the date at. Evening walks along Cornish beaches are breath-taking especially if you find out what time the sun will be setting that night, it makes for a perfect first date backdrop.

What better way to break the ice and have a laugh with your date than splashing in the sea whilst trying to balance on floating boards? There is a misconception in Cornwall that everyone can surf, which is simply not the case. So, spend the afternoon frolicking in the sea, even though your date might not be impressed by your surfing skills, we guarantee they will love the stunning golden beach you take them to. Surfing Lessons are available on many beaches in Cornwall or you can hire boards from local shops and brave the sea by yourselves.
Love the water but don’t fancy spending the day in it? Well, a relaxing boat ride in Falmouth is the perfect date for you. Without getting cold and wet, sit back and take in the picturesque views and explore the harbour!
