It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Cornwall…
The lights in the villages are being put up, the festive jumpers are coming out and we have eaten our first mince pie of the year! Christmas in Cornwall is in full swing – below are some of the festive activities to get involved with this year.
Tunnel of Lights – Charlestown
Returning for 2020 is the UK’s longest undergrad tunnel of festive Christmas lights! Walkthrough more than 50,000 lights and experience something truly magical. Fun for the whole family to enjoy, it is the perfect activity for a December evening.
Rogue Theatre’s Winter Wood – Tehidy Woods
This December the talented Rogue Theatre is bringing an enchanting celebration of winter to Tehidy Woods! Follow a path down to the immersive Christmas adventure waiting for you in the heart of the woods. Enjoy a magic festive story in the Midwinter Grotto and warm up with a free hot chocolate or hot spiced apple drink. Shows start at 12pm and go right through until 8pm so is perfect for families, groups of friends or couples!
Glowy Golf – Holywell Bay
Try something new this festive season with your family at Holywell Bay Golf. The Mini Golf course has been transformed into a brightly coloured, festive glow in the dark experience. After your game in the dark, cosy up with one of the Christmas hot chocolates on offer!

Christmas at The Eden Project – St.Austell
Take a whirl on Cornwall’s popular ice rink and then warm up with a hot chocolate or festive treat! The Eden Projects famous biomes will be lit up into a magical world of shadows and thousands of twinkling lights, to a backdrop of joyful Christmas music, played live!
Christmas at DairyLand – Newquay
Running from 12pm – 9pm every weekend in December, DairyLand’s Christmas is all-day fun for the whole family! Enjoy festive food and drink, a Christmas tree choir, singing reindeer and much more. Visit Santa’s grotto, toast marshmallows and pick up presents at the Christmas gift shop!
