Hit The Beach

If it’s warm enough which it often is at Easter – find a sheltered spot for some vitamin sea.

  1. Holywell Bay – let the kids race down the towering sand dunes or grab a board and head into the rolling waves for a surf. On your way home, stop off at Holywell Bay Beach Bar for dinner- their menu is full of tasty family favourites.
  2. Crantock Beach – just around the corner from Holywell Bay, this is a wide expanse of beach with an estuary called The Gannel which is a great place to go paddle boarding or kayaking at high tide. Boards are available to hire from the car park.
  3. Fistral Beach – the surf capital of Cornwall. This beach has some of the best waves in Europe and it’s also a beautiful spot to spend the day or go for walk and take in the views. It also has some seriously good restaurants from The Stable for pizzas and cider to Rick Stein’s for fish and chips to The Fish House for a delicious seafood supper.
  4. Treyarnon Beach – this beach is a little further afield but it’s quieter and off the beaten track. It’s also home to one of the best natural sea pools in Cornwall.
