Evening Entertainment at Trevornick
Our packed entertainment programme runs from May – September and is designed for fun, fun and more fun so pull up a chair and settle in for a night to remember with our entertainment team.

Penguins at Newquay Zoo
Newquay Zoo
(15 Minute drive from Trevornick)
Go for a walk on the wild side at Newquay Zoo. Home to hundreds of fascinating species from around the world including penguins, zebras, a sloth and meerkats. Children can enjoy feeding sessions, interactive exhibits and plenty of opportunities to learn about wildlife conservation. There’s an onsite cafe or take your own picnic and enjoy in the grounds – just watch out for the peacock who’s partial to a sandwich or two!

Lappa Valley
(20 Minute drive from Trevornick)
One of Cornwall’s most loved family attractions, Lappa Valley combines miniature train rides, adventure play areas, boating lakes and woodland walks. It’s open everyday for indoor and outdoor fun making it a great place to go on rainy days! There is so much to see and do here, you can easily spend a day here and if you have little ones who love trains, they’ll never want to leave.

Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay
(15 Minute drive)
A fantastic rainy-day option, Blue Reef Aquarium takes families on an underwater journey through tropical oceans and local Cornish waters.
Highlights include:
- Shark tunnel
- Loggerhead turtles
- Interactive displays
- Daily feeding demonstrations
Ideal for a all ages and completely weather-proof. There’s a lovely gift shop – be prepared because it’s impossible to leave empty handed. After a morning spent here, we highly recommend crossing the road for lunch at SaltSheds Newquay. The view is spectacular and you can de-brief about everything you learnt over lunch before heading to the beach to put your new marine knowledge into practise. At the nearby harbour, you’ll spot seals and crabs and the beach next to The Aquarium called Towan, is a brilliant place to go rock-pooling.

Trenance Gardens and Boating Lake, Newquay
(15 Minute drive)
A lovely low-cost option for families looking for a more relaxed day. There’s so much to see and do here. It’s perfectly flat and located in a shaded valley so lovely for little ones and a great place to escape when the beach is too hot. Feed the ducks, enjoy lunch at The Lakeside – their jacket potatoes are a must try and then hop on a pedalow to sail the lake or wander to The Garden Cafe for a Cornish cream tea (jam-first). There’s also a brilliant adventure play park here that’s free but seriously fun, tennis courts, a miniature railway called Little Western Railway and a crazy golf course. It’s so easy to spend an entire day here – the kids will absolutely love it. It also make a really lovely picnic spot and dogs are welcome too!

The Eden Project. St. Austell
(30 Minute drive)
A must-visit Cornish attraction, the Eden Project offers giant biomes, outdoor play areas and fascinating exhibits designed to engage curious young minds. Walk above the towering trees of the tropical biome and explore rainforests and walk high above the tree canopy.

The restaurant is exceptional and an absolute must-try and throughout the summer months, you can even dine in the Mediterranean biome where you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Greece! If you’re feeling brave, you can even zip-wire across the top of the biomes. At certain points in the year, you can watch world renowned music artists at the Eden Sessions.
