With so much going on, it’s hard to choose what to do first and this summer is absolutely no exception – it’s a jam packed calendar of events so we’ve rounded up what’s on and when. The county really comes alive between June and August with beachside festivals, foodie gatherings, and live performances.

Royal Cornwall Show | 4 – 6 June 2026
Location: Wadebridge

One of Cornwall’s biggest annual events, the Royal Cornwall Show is packed with farm animals, local food, fairground rides and live entertainment. A brilliant family day out for all ages.

Tunes in the Dunes brings beachside live music, sea views and sunset evenings to the Cornish coast.
Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival | 12 – 14 June 2026
Location: Falmouth

The streets and harbours of Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival fill with live music, food stalls and family friendly entertainment throughout the weekend.

The BIG Newquay Farmer’s Market | Saturday 4th July

Newquay Sessions brings free live music and summer atmosphere to the heart of Newquay overlooking the sea. A great way to end a day in a beautiful setting.
Newquay Food Festival | Thursday 9th – Sunday 12th July
Location: Killacourt, Newquay

Street food, chef demonstrations, live music and sea views make Newquay Food Festival a great summer stop for foodies.
Rock Oyster Festival | Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th July
Location: St Minver near Wadebridge|
Drive time from Trevornick: Around 45 minutes
Rock Oyster Festival combines incredible food, family entertainment and live music beside the Camel Estuary. This year’s line up includes Groove Amarda, Scissor Sisters and Kool & The Gang. Day tickets are available. This is a lovely small festival that the kids will love.
UK Surf & Skate Expo | Saturday 25th – Sunday 26th July
Location: Newquay Sport’s Centre
Drive time from Trevornick: Around 15 mins
If you love surf and skate, you need to be here. This is the UK’s biggest surf and skate event. Sponsored by Wavelength Magazine, you can enjoy talks from legends within the industry, shop stalls and watch different skate and surf events. Buy Tickets Here.
Lusty Glaze Sundowner Sessions | Weekly throughout July 2026
Location: Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay
Drive time from Trevornick: Around 20 minutes
Lusty Glaze Sundowner Sessions brings live music and sunset views to one of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches. This is a laidback vibe where you can sit down with some tasty food and watch the sun go down whilst listening to live music. This is always popular so arrive early to secure a seat.
August Events in Cornwall
Padstow Carnival | Saturday 1 August 2026
Location: Padstow
Drive time from Trevornick: Around 30 minutes
A traditional Cornish carnival with parades, music and entertainment, Padstow Carnival is perfect for families wanting a classic seaside atmosphere. Pick up a pasty from one of the local bakeries and let the celebrations commence. A fun day out for all the family. This event is FREE.
Fistral Beach Bar Terrace Parties | Selected weekends throughout August 2026
Location: Fistral Beach Bar (Boardmasters Beach Bar), Newquay
Drive time from Trevornick: Around 10 minutes
Terrace Parties are back for 2026. Join in Cornwall’s version of an Ibiza beach party, in Newquay’s most spectacular location. An epic night of Samba party vibes, there is a live DJ & saxophone, and dancers from 6 pm till the sun goes down. This is an event not to be missed.
Newquay Lifeboat Day | Saturday 8th August
Location: Newquay Harbour
Drive time from Trevornick: Around 10 minutes
Get up close to the RNLI’s lifesaving boat and see how the lifeguards manage the crowds whilst keeping everyone safe in the water. Tour the lifeboat house and learn all about the incredible RNLI.
Boardmasters | 5th – 9th August 2026
Location: Newquay and Watergate Bay
Drive time from Trevornick: Around 20 minutes
Boardmasters brings surfing, beach culture and live music to Cornwall’s north coast every summer. The main festival site is located at Watergate Bay and you will need tickets to enter but there’s also FREE entry into the site at Fistral Beach. Watch the world’s best surfers battle it out in the waves as well as browse the surf stalls, chill out in the Boardmasters Bar or grab some street from Adam Handling’s pop up bar at The Headland Hotel. This is such a fun few days, if you’re in Cornwall, don’t miss this.
Falmouth Week | Friday 7th – Sunday 16th August 2026
Location: Falmouth
Drive time from Trevornick: Around 50 minutes
From sailing races to fireworks and live entertainment, Falmouth Week is packed with family friendly summer events including the Red Arrows – this event is FREE and is a great place to go for a wander and soak in the sailing atmosphere.
