History

History

Once upon a time an annual Scout Jamboree camp was held in the dunes behind Holywell Bay. But when the new owner of Trevornick Farm, Mike Hartley, realised what a plum spot he’d landed nudging the beach and the burgeoning surf town of Newquay, he beckoned the first paying customers to camp here in the summer of 1963. The rest, as they say, is history…

Over 60 years at Holywell Bay

Trevornick’s story began in 1963 and, over the decades, it has grown from simple camping in the dunes into the holiday park you see today. We celebrated a huge milestone in 2023, and it’s a lovely snapshot of how far the park has come while staying true to its family-run roots.
